Owls from around the world

Rescue and rehabilitation centre for sick and injured owls which first opened in November 1994. Guided tours by sanctuary staff as well as a gift shop and refreshments. The sanctuary is funded solely by donations from the public and proceeds from the gift shop.

We also aim to provide information on the building and siting of owl nest boxes in suitable areas to enhance the wild population of owls, especially the declining barn owl. We give advice to farmers and landowners on building requirements, barn conversions and land management. We undertake captive breeding programmes, which conserve for the future many owl species which may be depleting in population, and which include the re-introduction of birds into the wild.

Many other species of animal can also be found here including Meerkats, Minature Shetland Ponies, Pygmy Goats, Emus and Alpacas.
