A headland on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall situated approximately five miles west of Padstow. The South West Coast Path runs around the whole promontory and is within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Trevose Head Heritage Coast. In clear weather, visitors to Trevose Head can see virtually the whole length of the north Cornwall coast;

The area is well known for its beautiful walks and is situated between two of the areas nicest beaches. Mother Ivey's is a lovely beach and as car parking is not available the beach does not become over crowded. To the other side of the head is Booby's Bay and Constantine Bay. These beaches are very popular with local surfers and are backed by sand dunes and a golf course.

The ruins of St. Constantine's chapel can be visited at hole 3 of Trevose Golf Club along an ancient right of way. The club is situated between Constantine Bay and Mother Ivey's Bay, behind Booby's Bay.

The new Padstow lifeboat station opened in 2006 is located on the east side of Trevose Head.

The area is very popular with local photographers especially the famous 'Round Hole'. The hole used to be a cave until the roof collapsed and formed the now visible 'Round Hole'. The lighthouse on the end of the head was built in 1847.

Trevose Head is only 243 feet high, but the view along the coast southwards is wonderful, past Bedruthan Steps, Porth, Newquay and even as far as St. Ives on a clear day. To the north, the view extends beyond the Cornwall county boundary to Hartland Point, 40 miles away. The cliff tops abound with wild flowers and butterflies - this is great walking country.

In September 1940, during World War Two, there is a record of bombs being dropped on Trevose Head, although it is suspected that these were jettisoned rather than the headland being deliberately targeted.

On the 1st August 2016 The National Trust managed to purchase Trevose Head after an appeal to protect this prominent headland.
