The Cornwall Heritage Trust founded in 1985 is an organisation which, alongside English Heritage, preserves and protects historic and prehistoric sites in Cornwall. We own or manage some of the most iconic and important sites. We are proud to have HRH The Prince of Wales Duke of Cornwall as our Royal Patron and Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE as our President.

We protect and offer universal free access to 18 of Cornwall’s most iconic and important historic sites, host a wide-reaching programme of well-being, education and community workshops, activities and events at these places and provide grants enabling visits to museums and historic monuments across Cornwall.

On the 14th March 2025, Cornwall Council is planning to transfer five historic places into the care of Cornwall Heritage Trust. They are East Pentire Head, Warbstow Bury, Minions Heritage Centre, the Prince of Wales Engine House at Minions and Castle an Dinas (Penwith). The transfers are set to take place over the next 12 months.
